The Phu Quoc Island: Phu Quoc, Vietnam's largest island is situated in the gulf of Thailand. This secluded paradise is 48 km in length, and from 3 to 28 km in width. The island has 1.320 km² and about 70.000 inhabitants are living on it. The number of the local population is increasing dramatically thanks to the rapid development of tourism. Luxury hotels and resorts keep springing up everyday. Compared to other islands, Phu Quoc has a very good infrastructure, such as an airport, several harbours, wide roads, money exchange bureaus, hospital, post-office, police-station and an exotic market. Transferred to resort on arrival. Phu Quoc's interior is still mostly covered in dense tropical forests and its coastline is ringed with deserted sand beaches. Overnight in Phu Quoc.
